Paddy O’Wife Writes — Er, Rhymes!

December 29th, 2005 by OZ

A few weeks ago, I promised a Paddy O'Wife post. It took a while, but here it is. I think it had to do in part with my poor carol parody from yesterday. Not only could she do better, she could make it original.

In today's installment, we have an o'poem written by the one and only Paddy O'Wife. So get o'ready...

My Poor Bum

We have a lawn in the back
That critters like to ransack.
We give them food to keep them around
We sprinkle it over the ground.
I went to feed them one snowy day
But I fell when I was on my way.
My feet slid out from under me
For a second I could not breathe.
I wonder if I can even get up?
I could, I did, I just hurt my butt. :(

Now I don't go out to my back yard.
Because I fell, and I fell hard.
I'm safer inside, I did believe
When it is snowing, I will not leave.
But then one day, while running for the door
I was wearing socks on my hard wood floor.
A bad combination I began to see
When again my feet went out from under me.
Feel bad for me, please, I know that you do.
Because, again, my bottom is black and blue.

Polar Bear Falling Down
Whoops!

Today is "Dinner or a Movie" Day! You can have one, but not both.
